I started playing 8 years ago, I knew the sport from the video-game. One day we had some friends over and while playing the video-game, he mentioned he plays the real sport and that we had a few free courses to play. I was excited had bought some discs and the very next weekend we were chucking some discs.

Backhand
What was the first disc you threw and where is it now?
The first disc I threw was a Valkyrie. Also have a Hydra.
You’re on the first hole at your local course, what disc do you reach for?
Jericho long hole 1. DDX around the trees and let it fade to the basket.
What is your favourite course and why?
Milo Mciver. It was a great experience to play in such a well designed and beautiful place.
Your disc golf bag catches on fire. You can only save 3 discs, What are those discs and why?
DDX, Roc, Aviar
What is your favourite disc and why?
DDX, because the amount of glide it has… and how predictable it is.
What is your favourite throw to play during a round of disc golf?
Roller. I love how unique that throw is. My specialty is the backhand. I have 2 types of roller, the flippy predictable path for situational, or the long straight roller.

No, but we do bag tag and doubles rounds, and matchplay matches occasionally.

2 or 3x a week. Mostly Putting practice. Weekends we play Bag Tags and Doubles.
The discs that you regularly bag are they all one manufacturer or a mix bag?
Innova Discs are great and Discmania basically and a Mortar from hyzerbomb.
Do you have any superstitions or quirks when on the course. Such as flipping your disc or special hat?
No..but I like to be prepared, so the night before tournaments I spend hours in my bag making sure I won’t miss anything in the course.
What do you love about disc golf?
The Community and how welcoming they are. Also be able to travel and meet different parks and beautiful scenery I’d never see otherwise and throw my equipment as far as I can and see it flying the way you wanted.
What part of disc golf do you find the most challenging?
How to get more Distance and Learning DISCS… there are so many and they are so inconsistent.
What has been your greatest achievement to date in disc golf?
Officially bringing the sport to Brazil. All the work we put to install the first course Colinas do Piracicaba and how challenging and beautiful it is.
Host such a great event with lots of people, spectators and players many parts of the world.
Win the first event in South America was the cherry on the cake. Here is the video of our event.
If you could change anything about disc golf what would it be?
No more jump putts, maybe?! Haters will hate.
If given the chance how would you grow the sport of disc golf?
Absolutely. I am the founder of the Disc Golf Brasil, built the first Disc Golf Course with baskets and first PDGA tournament in South America, with the help of PDGA Marco Polo Program.

The Japan Open. The players on my card would be my dad, my brother and my nephew.

Trying to teach a guy that was 1000 rated player…
What advice would you give to a new player starting out?
High speed discs will not give you more distance & Puttes are for driving, too.
